Dancer Management & Teacher Mode
FeisClár supports both dancing families with multiple competitors and dance instructors (TCRGs) managing entire studios.
Go to Settings → Manage Dancers and tap Add Dancer. Enter their nickname/first name, year of birth, home province (Leinster, Munster, Connacht, Ulster, or Abroad), and dancing school. FeisClár automatically calculates age categories (e.g. U11, U14, Over 18).
On the Home Screen, swipe horizontally through your dancer cards. Tapping any dancer instantly re-calibrates the entire app: your current grades, personal bests, feis registration, and podium history.
When creating or editing a profile, toggle Teacher Mode on. The app shows a graduation cap icon and "Teacher" badge. To keep the screen uncluttered for studio instructors, personal dancer Quick Actions (Grades, Edit Dances) are automatically hidden.
Syllabus Explorer & 100% Offline Access
Competition venues often have little to no cell reception. FeisClár caches syllabus PDFs directly to local SQLite storage.
Browse the Calendar or Home screen to see upcoming events, entry closing deadlines, and venue locations. Filter by Local, Provincial, or Major Championships.
On the Feis detail page, tap Download Syllabus (PDF) while you have Wi-Fi. The document is securely stored on your phone so you can view stage numbers and times in airplane mode.
Tap Bookmark to add the event to your saved list, and configure custom device reminders (1 week before, 3 days before, night before, and morning of feis).
Booking.com Accommodation Search
Never scramble for hotel rooms before an early morning 8:00 AM stage call. FeisClár links directly into Booking.com with your exact feis venue and dates.
Available on any Feis Details page or on the Feis Day Command Center screen. Look for the blue bed icon.
Select Stay Night Before (Recommended) to check in the day prior so dancers can sleep well, or Feis Day(s) Only for multi-day Oireachtas championships.
The app automatically resolves the host town, county, and GPS coordinates alongside the check-in and check-out dates, pre-populating Booking.com immediately.
Feis Day Command Center & Packing Checklist
A comprehensive checklist engineered specifically for the chaotic morning of an Irish dancing competition.
Tap + Add Item to add custom requirements (e.g. prescription medicines, extra buckles, music tracks). Checklist progress is remembered locally.
Easily reset your bag checklist before each feis weekend or mark everything packed with a single button.

Results Vault & Instagram-Ready Podium Stories
Track promotions across grade tiers (Beginners A → Beginners B → Preliminary → Open) and celebrate podium achievements.
Tap Record Results on the Home screen or Feis Day page. Enter placements (1st, 2nd, etc. or NP for Non-Placed) along with 3 to 5 adjudicator marks.
The green View Results trophy button only appears once you have actually recorded results for that feis. Prior to recording, you will see Record Results.
In the Vault, tap Share Graphic. FeisClár generates an Instagram Story canvas with flat Celtic knots, glowing podium trophy medals, dancer name, and clean two-line competition headings (e.g. U14 Championship • 1st Place).
Interactive Map & Satellite View
Locate feiseanna across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and North America on a high-performance interactive map.
Pins are clean and elegant, showing event cluster counts without cluttered text labels. Tapping any pin highlights the bottom feis preview card.
Toggle between standard OpenStreetMap vector maps and Esri Satellite aerial imagery in Settings to preview real parking areas and school halls.
